Armwrestling Group Activity in South Holland

Who is actually the strongest in your group?

Is it the biggest talker? Or does the strength come from an unexpected corner? The latter happens more often than you think. Maybe someone has worked with their hands for years, done a lot of wrenching, lifting, or repeated the same movement daily. Over the years, that can result in surprisingly strong grip, control and feel.

That is what makes armwrestling so interesting. Everyone comes to the table with their own body, background and strengths. During the Grip Kings Armwrestling Challenge, you will discover in a safe and playful way what happens when technique, strength, grip, control and strategy come together.

This armwrestling workshop is suitable as an original group activity, company outing, team outing, staff outing, bachelor party or sports event in South Holland and the surrounding area.

Not your average group activity, but a real armwrestling experience

Many group activities look alike. Bowling, go-karting or drinks are fun, but often not something people talk about for long.

The Grip Kings Armwrestling Challenge is different. You will get to know a sport that is far more technical than most people think. Armwrestling is not just about pulling hard. It is about posture, control, timing, grip, strategy and the smart application of strength.

That is exactly what creates surprising moments. Someone who looks strong does not automatically win. And someone you would never expect can suddenly turn out to be very good at the table.

That makes this workshop active, competitive, surprising and accessible for every level.

Safety always comes first

Armwrestling looks simple, but without proper instruction mistakes can happen quickly. That is why every workshop starts with a clear safety briefing.

We explain step by step how to stand safely at the table, which positions to avoid and why you should never just go full force against each other. Your body is usually not used to the specific pressure, angles and tension that come with armwrestling. That is why it is important that everyone listens carefully to the instructor.

This approach is what we have used for years within our club. Safety first, then technique, then controlled application. This way we ensure that everyone has a fun and unforgettable experience, while also understanding what not to do if they ever armwrestle on their own.

What does the armwrestling workshop include?

During the workshop we take you through the basics of armwrestling step by step. Participants learn how the sport works, how to position yourself correctly at the table and why technique is often more important than raw strength.

We cover the most important pillars of armwrestling, including rising, cupping, pronation, supination and side pressure. We also explain how speed, strength, table IQ, grip position and adaptability influence what happens at the table.

Afterwards, participants practice in a controlled way. Not with hard matches or an official tournament, but with safe exercises, technical assignments and playful challenges. This way everyone experiences the competitive element without losing sight of safety.

The Grip Zone

In addition to the armwrestling part, we also have a separate section: The Grip Zone.

In The Grip Zone, participants test their grip strength, wrist strength and forearm control with various exercises. Think of grip strength with a dynamometer, a pinch block lift, a riser lift or a pronation lift.

The focus of the workshop remains armwrestling, but The Grip Zone clearly shows what role your hands, wrists and forearms play at the table. Surprising results often come out of this. Someone does not have to be big or muscular to score well. Through work, sport or daily activities, someone may have unknowingly built up a lot of specific strength.

We can keep scores on a whiteboard, for example separately for left and right. That makes it fun and interactive, as participants often notice a big difference between their left and right hand.

The Grip Zone creates extra competition, extra insight and even more moments where the group can challenge each other.

Controlled practice, not a wild tournament

We do not organise a hard armwrestling tournament where everyone just pulls against each other. That does not fit our way of working.

The instructor assesses during the workshop whether participants are moving safely enough to do controlled slow-start practice moments with each other. If that is responsible, participants can experience in a calm and technical way what it is like to sit across from each other at the table.

If that is not advisable, participants practice with the instructor or we do adapted challenges. This keeps the workshop fun, educational and safe for everyone.

The goal is not for people to become overconfident. The goal is for participants to understand how armwrestling really works, how to use strength properly and how to engage with the sport safely.

Which groups is this suitable for?

The Grip Kings Armwrestling Challenge is ideal for groups who want to do something active, original and competitive.

For companies, it is a strong alternative to a standard company outing or staff event. Colleagues get to know each other in a different way and discover who is unexpectedly strong, technical or competitive.

For sports teams and gyms, it is interesting because armwrestling has connections with strength, explosiveness, control and body awareness.

For bachelor parties and friend groups, it is above all a fun and physical activity with lots of humour, challenge and mutual competition.

That is why this armwrestling workshop fits perfectly as a group activity in South Holland, a team outing in Westland or a sports event on location.

Workshop or open event setup

We can organise the Grip Kings Armwrestling Challenge in different ways.

For smaller groups of around 8 to 12 people, a focused workshop is ideal. We spend around two hours intensively on explanation, safety, technique, The Grip Zone and controlled practice at the table.

For groups of around 10 to 20 people, we can also work with a more open event setup. Think of a barbecue-style setting, company party or sports event where people take turns participating, watching, cheering and trying short challenges.

Are you coming with more people? Please mention that in your request. We will then look at which setup is possible and how much guidance is needed to make it work well and safely.

On location in South Holland and beyond

Grip Kings is based in Westland and organises armwrestling workshops and group activities on location throughout South Holland and the surrounding area.

We travel to Westland, The Hague, Rotterdam, Delft, Naaldwijk, Maassluis, Vlaardingen, Schiedam and surrounding municipalities.

Outside South Holland is also possible on request. Just let us know your location and we will look at the options together.

Why choose Grip Kings?

Grip Kings is one of the leading names in armwrestling and grip strength in the Netherlands. We are active in the sport ourselves and work with experienced armwrestlers, dedicated athletes and Dutch championship level within our club.

That means you do not get a standard entertainment activity, but a workshop based on real experience. We know how to bring armwrestling across in a safe, clear and fun way to people without any experience.

We provide professional guidance, clear instructions and a setup where everyone can participate at their own level. The goal is for participants to have fun, learn something new and look back on the activity with a good feeling.
